Name: Meringue
Nicknames/Titles: Secretary
Race: Majin
Species Abilities:
One of Soul : A Majin can take a person within themselves and adjust themselves to their energy level, sometimes even pushing them to share certain techniques with each other and benefit from each other.
A Majin for every 10k PL can share a connection with a single person (Even below 10,000 you can make a single share) and they will share one technique with each other.
If a Majin dedicates THREE share slots with another person, then the Majin gains the trait that they possess as long as they are in the same thread.
Magical Regeneration : Majin are able to regenerate from any wound unless they completely eradicate the Majin, sadly, this does not mean their exhaustion gets cured.
Every second they regenerate their energy gets drained more and more until they cannot move at all anymore!
Mechanically speaking, they can survive two lethal hits and 4 non lethal hits before they will mentally shut down!

Age: 5,000,491 (Sealed)
491 (Awakened)
491 (Awakened)
Gender: Female
Personality: In a way, Meringue is very much a "black coffee, no sugar" type of person. She is a stern and diligent worker with no tolerance for nonsense, who deems social contacts to be needed when they are needed and not for messing around in what she deems to be the workplace. Everywhere she goes, she goes in sharply pressed suit as well as she can with not even a single wrinkle allowed under her watch. Rumours have started that she may even bathe in it. Sure, she is a sweet little lady who can use some affection but at the same time she tends to separate herself from others due to her serious nature. This does not however, mean she is completely heartless as she seems. She has been shown in the past to roll up her sleeves to assist a few people in need or somebody who is in danger.
Appearance:
History: Being "brought into this world" by a relatively average example of a witch, Meringue was initially created to be a servant to the lazed spell caster, through a varied process of unfortunate events, the blank slate of a woman soon came to grasp the feeling of hate for the first time, however only in regards to the exceedingly lazy. Meringue despises the lazy, she truly does, she has nobody she hated before but she did hate the lazy mess that was the witch. She did not look old, she did not look young. She was just there. Extremely lazy and taking up space in her little house on top of a small tree that she never took interest in.
That said, through the means of various "magical mishaps" and shenanigans (that she would rather not repeat to those of likened minds), she had begun to learn what it was like to experience what it felt to be... Well, human. Although this was mostly the negative aspects that she was picking up from the witch, causing her to become quite the rebellious little upstart in the town outside. Despite this, she did manage to learn one practical trick from the old bat's blathering. She had learned the ability to move small objects with her mind. Of course given her body structure and natural abilities this was useless to her anyway, and was cast aside.
Her only goal at that point was... Nothing, she just had this embedded desire to get away from that bundle of troubles.
Meringue worked and ran errands in the town for quite a while, saving up quite a bit and learning a few human quirks and how hollow their words are. But ultimately learning to tame the "wild side of her youth" for the most part. As the years went on, learning about herself in this world, noting that she clearly wasn't human and apparently had no bones, such a discovery coming from when she was trying high heels for the first time at the top of a large staircase.
As time continued, the identity crisis suffering woman had come to notice a rebellious and adventurous youth around the town, said youth seemingly had no presence to anyone else but her, it even took him a few tries to be noticed by the vendors in the market place, herself included. However, for whatever reason the man kept returning to her stall of assigned magical curios and oddities, much to her initial chagrin. Never having anybody to look on his fingers, the youth had seemingly grown attached to her, refusing to let her work patiently and on her own pace, pushing things about and even breaking a few things, causing significant damage to certain areas in the town. As well as her pay cheque. But through unknown reasons and a general lack of sense, it was fun, and after some time... He went away. For what seemed like two years passed from then, where she learned how to feel "loss".
The following years were generally so boring, it would be a disservice to cover them. So through a mixture of quirky and sometimes boring means, she had managed to leave the town she called home and enrol into a school. Which through the coincidence to end all coincidences, she ended up enrolling into the same one the youth from before was going to go to. They were even bunk mates at the same time, however as he was a pubescent young man and she was physically a fully developed adult, rumours and general awkwardness sprung up that we will not dwell on. They did however manage to successfully graduate with no significant issues, even managing to secure a job, working together in their own business. It was at this point (after significant research on the etiquette of the job) she tied her hair up and became known as a secretary.
Continuing on some, the man had soon fallen in love with a woman. She and Meringue were never the closest, but she gladly attended their eventual wedding, to... Less than stellar reactions from the man's family, which made sense to her. She wasn't human or anything else familiar to them after all.
After the ceremony, business went on as usual. The man lived his life living in happy ignorance, unable to see the unfortunate signs of what was about to befall him, eventually resulting in him being admitted into hospital. With no sign of improvement, Meringue took to desperate measures and went on a little "excursion", soon coming back with a collection of herbs that, as far as she understood, acted as a cure-all. Which she promptly gave to her ageing friend.
With time however, they soon fell out of contact, with the man absent the company started going under. With Meringue being left at the wheel of a sinking ship, she did her best to keep the business afloat. Unfortunately to no avail...
Fast forwarding a few decades or so, she soon began hearing tell of her friend resurfacing. Although not in the undead manner that she had initially assumed, he had to be over 100 years old by now after all. Following the inclusion of an image of him with what seemed to be a new woman under arm, she decided it would be time to track her old acquaintance and employer down to find out what he was hiding.

Techniques:
- Black Licorice - Attack - Stamina 10% - [T1] - Meringue unleashes a flurry of kicks whilst shooting a small hair sized wire from within her sleeve towards the opponent under the guise before it wraps around her leg and the opponents neck, upon finishing the combination kick she slams down her leg and slams the opponents head into the ground too.
- Caramel Filling - Barrier - Stamina 10% - [T1] - Meringue opens her palm towards the attack before her arm deforms upon the impact with the technique and then completely surrounds it, cutting the source off and causing it to fizzle out if its weaker than her barrier.
Weakness:
- Indecisive; usually seen in lunch breaks, she will often spend most of it deciding what to even have in the first place.
- Sweets; massively preferring bitterness or sourness, Meringue tends to ignore sweeter treats to the point of near repulsion.
- Collateral; as someone who has worked their way up in the world, Meringue has grown to appreciate the various industries of the world. Work is hard and best rewarded, she will often request fights be taken away from civilisation.
- Humanity; Meringue will not kill unless forced to. While it seems idiotic in the context of events, she will not harm who she deems to be innocent.
Pre-Post Solo:
Slowly walking into the cafe with a soft smile on her face, a person commonly seen during a more “experimental” era of Meringue’s life was making her way to the old college friend of hers. “Hey Meringue, how are you?”
Slowly walking into the cafe with a soft smile on her face, a person commonly seen during a more “experimental” era of Meringue’s life was making her way to the old college friend of hers. “Hey Meringue, how are you?”
Having been previously waiting in line in order to place her order, the sharply dressed Majin turned to face the source of the voice calling out to her. “Oh, it’s you.” She said, adjusting her glasses. “I myself am fine, I trust you have no complaints yourself?”.
The woman took a quick look from top to bottom on her appearance before giving a content whistle and letting herself chuckle lightly.
It was not often you saw a woman like Meringue, especially in the eyes of the commonplace human race, especially the skin colour and elastic strengths behind hers before her fingers grasped her cheek and pulled a bit. “Order me a small coffee with extra sugar and maybe a few caramel cookies will you hun?” before turning away and making her way to a empty table for two.
Being of the sort to possess these “elastic strengths”, Meringue’s cheek was pulled a fair distance away, easily showing the backs of her teeth before springing back with a satisfying *snap* upon being let go. The woman frowned upon the behaviour of her colleague, especially after the prior whistle and the demand for the sickly sweet coffee and overly decadent, caramel soaked cookies. She gave a sigh and walked up to the counter. “Coffee, one black, no sugar. Another with three teaspoons please.” She said, taking out a small pocket purse in order to pay in advance. She was never a fan of carrying a lot of money on her person, and this was her way of remedying it. “Oh, and some of your caramel cookies. Please.” She said, taking a moment to browse the dessert section. She had a brief moment of hesitation before adding, “And your chocolate mousse please, dark.”. She had been working hard after all.
The woman at the counter was a small figure, if there were a single word to describe her it would be… “Soft”, with a gentle tone as she gave a quick nod to the order before starting to prepare it before the next person in line to help the customers came over.
Her eyes were shifting to the facial expressions of this unique customer before going over to deliver the contents herself.
Yet it was then that the woman who was going to sit with Meringue stood up and took the plate of contents herself, adding a small tip to the woman and nodding her off, stopping her from taking another chair and letting her move back to the counter, a small look of sadness on her face of wanting to ask a entire row of questions, but that was quickly mitigated by the size of the tip that she was handed as she walked off, her face turning towards her old friend. “So, how did you end up in this area again? Still researching how to fully connect two beings in one?
Hell, people have been spreading rumours you got funding from a few militaristic groups… But that little sweet tooth that you are would never do that right?” the woman spoke while sipping her drink, giving a groan in the pain from the heat.
Meringue acknowledged the look of the curious cafe worker, deciding to pass it off as another “passing interest” that most had when seeing her. Something that she had since gotten used to. After sitting down with her friend, she listened to her words while lifting up the small spoon given to her to eat the mousse and inspecting it closely. It was a rather ornate looking one, showing a attempt to boost the star rating of the cafe. Something she found admirable. After this brief observation, she looked back up and faced her associate. “My dear, rumours are just that. Rumours. Although, I imagine my research would be in rather high demand.” She said, placing the spoon down on the folded napkin provided. “Providing any significant progress is made of course…” She added, clasping her coffee cup in both hands.
It was at that point the loud sound of laughter would be audible through the entire room as the woman that was sitting in front of Meringue was now losing her calm.
Just letting the enjoyment behind this entire concept flopping already wash through her before seeing the calm and complex woman before her very eyes.
Meringue was always the woman who calmly went through every single subject with relative ease when she put everything into it, but for her to find something that stumped her.
That surprised this passing friend that kept making small journeys to other locations before placing a small photo on the table of a friend. “Apparently somebody has managed to fuse with another person in this world of ours, they are separate but together at once, maybe that interests you?” Downing the entire cup of coffee she had before starting on the small cookies, always having had a large stomach for these things.
As her friend (rather undignified) managed to successfully draw attention from the whole cafe with her laughter, Meringue patiently sipped from her coffee. Feeling that coffee was something best savoured slowly rather than just taken in all at once. While she waited for the young mage to calm down, her interest was admittedly piqued by her words regarding a already existing example of her theory, albeit in a slightly different way than what she had expected. In fact it reminded her of a old anime series that she was forced to watch in her college days. Something about four men with a form of astral projections making their way to Egypt for some reason or another if she remembered correctly. “I see, would you happen to know where they were last?” She asked, taking another dignified sip of her coffee.
The woman gave a quick chuckle and took out a small device, a mobile map tracker. Showing her that a small woman and a large muscular dude were making their way to this area rather quickly.
Almost showing her their travel path with erratic side paths as they were carrying a large cart and serving food to most people before she licked her lips. “I tried their food once, it was delicious, the man seems pretty happy with his life apparently.” Before she turned the device off and then gave a quick look on the appearance of the woman in front of her. “Still doing the entire secretary thing after the company went bankrupt because of the generation of kids just wasting money on parties and crap? You were old, but it's thanks to you that I am still alive now too. Almost makes me wonder why you hate sugar so much, I would need a lot of sugar to keep up with the annoyance of all this.”
Meringue looked at the small device she was being shown, with a raised eyebrow in suspicion as she listened to her friend’s explanation. "You liked their food, so you bugged them…” She said with a sigh, only to be stopped by a sudden visual inspection and a collection of questions. Which she did her best to answer patiently, one at a time. After another sip of coffee of course. “It’s as you said in college, “once you find a look that works, you stick with it”.” Said the Majin, giving a small shrug. “While the business may have gone under I do still have a reputation to uphold”.
The woman nodded at this before finding herself confused for a split second, raising a question about the bugging and liking part before then shaking it off, laughing to herself softly.
It was silly, stupid and impossible for her to find somebody to even closely resemble interest to her, her main love was science, the only outlet of magic she had found successful in her entire life.
Even then there were hundreds of other actual mages that were popping up recently with knowledge that she fancied… But food? That was the main thing that connected to her?
She got slightly angry at the thought, wanting to give a good hit to the Majin’s noggin before then just laughing it off, falling into her pacing and just ending up getting herself confused even more.
It was nothing more than the Majin’s calm throwing her off constantly, making her believe something that was not akin to how it was meant to be.
Especially how her mind worked, these tricks were an easy feat, especially for a being entirely made out of gummy magic that was seemingly delicious which brought her upon another point that came up in her mind and she just spoke out rather abruptly and bluntly. “Has your taste matured?” before blushing brightly.
Hiding her face and just starting to pack her stuff, wanting to run from this awkward situation she had created.
It would be a great disaster if this got a serious answer, especially for her straight man role that she was trying to adapt to all these insane martial artists running around.
Feeling as if she had offended her friend in some way, Meringue took a moment to think of how to resolve this. She didn’t have many friends, acquaintances or even cohorts. She couldn’t afford to lose this one over something so trivial. Luckily she had given her the perfect comment to retort, linking both of her hands together, she leaned forward slightly in her chair. “As far as I know dear, my taste is the same as it was that one night.” She said, flashing a rather mischievous smile to her friend in order to drive the point home. That even while being as stern and busy as she was, she would still always have time for those close to her.
