Name: Ginnie Astika
Nicknames/Titles: God on the Court, Genius with the Ball.
Race: Human
Species Abilities:
Family Genetics: Through her family's years of conditioning and evolution has led to her family giving birth to children who are naturally, and instinctively good with basketballs, throwing, tossing, and other such things involving a basketball sized ball. Due to this, she is able to do advanced algebra in her mind, calculating the perfect throws and tosses every time. She literally cannot miss with a basketball sized object. Though, she cannot catch or throw at all with anything smaller, and cannot lift anything larger.
Family Genetics: Where she is very petite, one would believe that she is weak and soft, easy to knock around, which is beyond the truth. She is extremely powerful physically and is strong enough to shatter faux glass and metal, or flip tables and even small cars.
Age: 12 Years Old
Gender: Female
Personality: Due to the wealth of her family, Ginnie was taught to act royally, or officially to people rather then slack when talking, which is usually how she talks to people she has never met before. Though, when she is around friends she usually speaks in a very slacking manner and using slang. Something her family hates about her. She is caring, and a happy person overall. She is hard to make angry, though she stresses out very easily due to the pressure on her from her friends and family.
Appearance: Standing at a solid five feet tall, or 152 cm, she is a tiny woman among the rest of her normal peers. She has a distinctive pink hair and pink eyes, a family trait from the Astika family. Her hair usually has a single bow in it on her left side, made from a small red ribbon given to her from her mother. The normal attire she wears is a dress of purple and white with a pair of black dress shoes. Her clothes are top of the brand, showing her wealth, though she does not control it. She is rarely seen without a basketball, as it is basically her favorite object ever. The other types of clothing options she can be found in is a Jersey, shorts, and sneakers from her time playing for the West City Smashers, and lastly, a T-shirt with short jeans, matched with boots. She is rarely seen not smiling, as she is a very happy person overall.
History:
Born and raised to the Astika family in West City, she is the only daughter, and heir to a famous basketball team called the West City Smashers. Her father was a professional basketball player, and her mother a coach in her time, leaving a legacy for their daughter to fulfill and continue to the amazing lineage of the Astika family. Looking back through the family members, one could probably trace their family back to the beginning of Basketball itself on Earth, and with their family breeding to produce the perfect players in their family, the outcome years later would result in the monstrous child who would be known as the "Angel of Basketball".
When she was at the ripe age of seven, she was drafted by her parents into a child's team, after being trained for the game for nearly her entire life, resulting in her basically carrying her team through the year she was little league, which caused a small stir within the communities of West City. She was quickly given extra permissions to join an official team, the West City Smashers, and became their first option shooting guard. This was an exciting change for the girl, someone who was deeply passionate about her dream, as well as the pushing onward from her parents.
She stayed with the team until the current day, still playing for them, but deciding to take a vacation for a while to explore the Earth and make friends. She will every-so-often play a game or two on the streets, or as a player in an official match, but as much as she can hope, she is out to see everything the world can show her. The world is her oyster, and she is ready to take control of it for once! A life where her parents didn't dictate everything she did, and she made the decisions. Good.... or Bad. She has since stretched her games to Soccer, Volleyball, and even swimming for fun, though any games that don't involve large spheres is difficult for her.
Techniques:
[T1]Angel of Basketball: While dribbling the ball in one hand, Ginnie perfectly measures the correct angle and force needed to be put behind her ball, before shooting the ball in a jump shot, where a pair of white gilded wings appear on her back, giving her the appearance of an angel, until she touches the ground again, where the faux wings disappear into vapor in the air. They still don't know how to explain how the illusion wings appear. The sheer perfection of the shot often helps her hit objects at a far distance, be it a person, or an object out of people's hands.
Weakness:
Ball Issues: Ginnie is only effective with balls that are the size of basketballs. Anything else is to difficult and foreign to her, causing her to not be able to catch them or use them effectively. This is a serious issue.
Childhood Ruined: Due to being required to grow up early, she is extremely childish as a person. She has issues being serious in certain situations.
Prone to Stress: Due to being forced to become a professional basketball player, on top of her expetations from her parents, and being the daughter to a wealthy family, she is extremely prone to stress, and stress fighting. This usually being smacking people or yelling at them loudly. This is a serious problem, though the refuses to take therapy for it.
Pre-Post Solo:
Age 747
The crowd cheered while the mist in the air continued to cool the court. It was a game between the Penguin Village Pages and the Carver Town Curvers, with a guest player... the famous Ginnie Astika! A soft glimmer of sweat trickled off of the faces of the men standing at massive heights, dodging back and forth, making passes, shooting, and scoring points. This would have seemed like any normal game, had there not been a specific player in the rounds that day. The small girl standing at five feet tall, stood prepared, catching a pass to her. Her eyes glared at the goal, not far away, down halfway, with the angle perfect to shoot from. The enemy team slowly advanced, a dribble, then another came from the girl as she moved forwards a few steps, stopping, and planting her sneaker covered foot into the polished playing field. Her left hand guided the ball as she rose into the air, showing off the West City Smasher's signature shot.
"Call me the Angel!" Her voice said, the glimmer of mist behind her back gave the form of fake wings, an illusion in the air while the ball left her hands. It went flying through the air over everyone else, all attempts to block it futile, before going in perfectly, without so much as wavering the net. The ring of the bell signaled the end of the match, the winners..... The Curvers! The shot was the savior, giving them the edge by two points over the Penguin Village Pages.
The team circled the young girl, huddling over her and patting her on the back, and thanking her for playing. She felt the blood rush to her cheeks, embarrassed by her showing off in front of an entire stadium, when she was playing for a team she barely knew. These people were foreign to her, just friendly buddies she met who needed a shooting guard for their match, yet she helped them win when they needed it. It was nice to be on the good side.
"Hello there ma'am, can you give any quotes for our friends at the news stands?" a man in a comically large hat would ask, holding a microphone to the girl's face. She stood back for a second, before taking a deep breath.
"Yes I do. If you love basketball, play it. The game is in need of bright young minds. If you ever need help, or wish for a better day, call me on me, the Angel!" and with that, she took her leave, walking towards the women's dressing room with pride. Today would be a good day... That was for sure.
