"Today is the day. One that will decide the path you take as a warrior from here on my son. Do not falter and cast aside your fear, the pilgrimage has been done by every member of our family and now, you will experience it as well."
Sitting within their home, Nexon and his father Hei sat within their home, a simple single story house comprised of wood and clay. The clay was tempered from the heat of the mountain itself and with it, gave off a familiar red tint to the housing. The elder Oshiro continued on, explaining the Musha Shugyo to his son, both facing one another as any student would to their teacher. "You will be on your own in the beginning. Take what you will need and learn from the experiences. I have taught you everything you need to know up to this point, your destiny is in your own hands." Nexon swallowed, feeling a lump in his throat as he was being told that now, he would be forced to leave his home on his own. "But father, what if I...perish?"
That was the only way he could put it without blatantly voicing his concerns, he did not want to seem like a coward in front of his father. "You will not." Hei replied as he looked over his son, his stern brow overlooking the boy. "I have taught you to defend yourself. You posses strength that cannot be rivaled by the average person. However, you are also blessed with a mind." Hei would cup his chin, his thumb and index finger burrowing into the rough beard that lined his jaw. "Any fool can punch their way into a problem, it takes a man to admit when strength alone is not enough. Use your cunning, use your heart. I have faith you will be alright."
Simply nodding his head, Nexon would place his hands in front of himself, allowing for proper respect to be given. "I understand. How long do I have before I have to leave?" There was a moment of silence before Hei rose from his seated position, moving past his son and approached the door. Standing before the exit, he would grasp onto the knob, pushing it open to reveal the sunset, the entire area bathed in an aura of warm pink and red. "Before the sun sets, I expect you to be gone. Gather your things and after a year, when it is over, you may return home."
