Technique Rules and Mechanics
Techniques on Legends work in the following way, At the start of every fight every combatant is given a stamina bar that is full at 100%, they cannot go any higher without being otherwise stated. The stamina bar recovers 10% every turn no techniques are used. Another thing to note is that the % of stamina used is equal to the % of pl that the technique utilizes with exception of the Alternate tiers which do the damage of the base tier below them, for instance in damage an A1 is equal to a T1 in damage, but a T2 in stamina cost. Techniques work like below:
When a technique is charged it gains a bonus 10% damage without consuming extra stamina. One can only charge a technique for FIVE posts however for a maximum 50% boost.
Variants for the Alternate Tiers are as follow (Suggestions can be made to add more):
Stunning (1 post)
Damage over Time (10% a post equal to full)
Homing
Piercing (Through barriers and ignoring damage reduction on them, only works on equal or weaker barriers. Can also pierce characters)
Splitting (The number is divided by projectiles)
Status (Vary by type, mods will consult these)
Barriers
Barriers are a special kind of technique that block yourself and others. They follow the chart above, but they have a special effect to them. If they block a technique that is below 50% of the pl of the barrier then the attack is completely nullified, but if the attack if 51% to 100% of the barrier's pl then half damage leaks through to those protected by it. If the opposing attack caps 100% then all damage is dealt regardless of the barrier. Barriers can be stacked to reinforce a weaker one.
Combined attacks
When attacks combine the powerlevels are just flat added together. This however does not apply to variant abilities, only the ability of the first attack preformed is kept.
Technique Examples
Dodging
Name: Afterimage (Zanzoken) [AF1]
Description: Allows the user to dodge an opponent's technique that is equal to 100% However this uses 25% of the user's stamina.
Barrier
Name: Barrier [T1]
Description: The user creates a dome shaped barrier and blocks the opponent's attack. Nullifying all under 50% the barrier's pl and halving damage above that to 100%.
Offensive
Name: Ki Blast [T1]
Description: A simple ki blast at 10% the user's pl.

Alternate 1 [A1] | An upgraded tech with an added effect. Uses 25% stamina in a fight |
